Galaxy fall in the presence of the giants of the category. The Giallorossi bowed out midway through the second half after twice taking the lead in the first half.
Mr. Bertolini has to reckon with the countless absences that are mowing down the Magica Armata: Inverardi soon to return, Crea on family leave, Belotti forced to stay in the pits, Bertoni long-suffering, Simone Gazzoli on an apostolic trip and Eddiraoui again on his honeymoon among the beauties of North Africa. In fact, the only outfielder on the roster is veteran Fioretti, so once again Francesco Bregoli is adapted on the left out. Between the posts Vitali, covered by Romeo, to Magri and Zammarchi the task of giving balance and support to Bergamaschi the only point (at disp. Mazzetti, Bregoli D., Gazzoli N., Boccuti).
In front comes a Queen's team that needs little introduction: winners of the 2021/2022 CSI Championship, Provincials and Super Cup. Holy monsters.
In the Galaxy's eyes and head, however, in addition to respect, there is the determination to try to do something extraordinary and keep their place on the undefeated throne in cohabitation with PPZ.
The match begins in the best possible way with Bergamaschi sweeping away any doubts about his purchase. In the 4th minute, the striker in jersey number 2 received the ball from Fioretti and after centering himself, he let off a missile that slotted into the cross.
The Galaxy lead, but the game is in Queen's hands. The guests, however, cannot break through and are never dangerous, thanks to an excellent team performance and the abnegation of the outfielders. Romeo on several occasions is impeccable and minimizes the problems for Vitali, who, however, succumbs in the 23rd minute after a genuine miracle on the free kick kicked from the edge of the area: the rebound ends up between the feet of the attacker who from two steps cannot miss.
The parity lasts less than a lap of the hands, however, and once again Magri proves to be the extra man in this league start. Bregoli serves him between the lines and the number 6 doesn't think twice about looking for the goal, finding his seventh goal with the ball once again headed into the cross. We go to rest at 2-1 and the energy begins to fade, especially the mental energy, put to the test by an experienced team that is extremely comfortable on the field.
Bertolini changes nothing until the 6th minute when he opts for Mazzetti to replace an exhausted Fioretti, with Zammarchi diverted to the right.
In the 10th minute Queen's equalized again from a spot kick on which this time Vitali could not oppose. The guests became proud, while the Giallorossi began to take a beating. In the 18th minute came the goal that finally cut the hosts' legs off, with a true feat by the black-and-white midfielder who was able to leap like skittles over Magri and Bregoli before slotting into the net from outside the box. Bertolini tried everything, inserting Davide Bregoli in place of his brother and looking for more speed on the outside.
A minute later, however, again a free kick was fatal and the Sopiti took a 2-4 lead thanks to an opening by the barrier. In the 23rd minute came the fifth Black and Green goal after a good plot of play. As time expired, one of Queen's midfielders becomes the protagonist of a bad, illogical and criminal foul against Magri. The Race Director (inadequate, but it probably doesn't need repeating) first senselessly draws the blue card, then, goaded by the audience, opts for a direct red. Magri is forced to leave the field and Bregoli re-enters in his place. There is only time only to put on file the sixth and final goal of the guests as well.
The Galaxy are punished beyond measure by a certainly more experienced and mischievous Queen's. For 3/4 of the game the Giallorossi (in full emergency) held their own against a team that cannibalized every opponent last season.
The upcoming game on Nov. 4 against PPZ (with full points) will be the litmus test of the Giallorossi's championship.
