Day number 17 features the derby between USO Galaxy and Pol.Com.Ome, both at home at Long Street Park. The Galaxy are coming off a good performance with Queen's (albeit defeated) and are looking for points to break away from the hot zone of the standings for good, while Ome is looking for a victory it has been missing for four games.

The only absentees among the hosts are Gamba and Fioretti. Mazzetti wins the ballot with Bregoli and Zammarchi for a starting shirt alongside the returning Magri, for the rest Bertolini confirms the same ones from the away match in Gardone.

The Giallorossi start better, intense and eager to close the practice as soon as possible. Magri unblocked the game after 6', with a conclusion under the crossbar after Bergamaschi's filtering service. The game seemed to be going downhill, also because Ome didn't seem to have what it takes to worry the Galaxy neither on the athletic nor on the game level. The only arrows to the gray-green bow are the domination of time and cunning masquerading as experience, as well as a healthy dose of luck.

In the 11th minute here is the guests' equalizer with a conclusion from the edge of the area of a stray ball disputed between 3 players that settles behind Martinuz after being slightly deflected by Romeo.

The Galaxy did not break down and in the 13th minute immediately had a chance to take the lead again: the referee awarded the maximum penalty for a flashy handball in the small area. From the penalty spot came Bergamaschi, but his conclusion was printed on the crossbar.

The Galaxy took over the field, relegating Ome to an old-fashioned catenaccio and proved potentially dangerous on every maneuvered action, but for a series of unfortunate events the ball never crossed the goal line.

In the 20th minute again the Bergamaschi-Magri axis creates headaches for the host defense, but the conclusion of the number 6 again crashes on the crossbar, on the consequent reversal of the front, the game director decrees a penalty kick for Ome for an intervention of Belotti at the edge of the area. Martinuz is displaced and Ome finds itself ahead thanks to the only two shots in the mirror of the goal.

The first half thus ended 1-2.

At the beginning of the second half Bertolini to give a shake up fishes Bregoli from the bench, taking over Mazzetti a bit underwhelming. In the 5th minute, however, it was the guests who found the goal, thanks once again to the C-factor. Romeo at odds with the striker sweeps wide, but he catches Magri in the middle and the carom serves on a silver platter the opposing striker who in front of Martinuz makes no mistake and signs the 1-3. Gazzoli makes way for Zammarchi, diverting Bregoli to the left. A few moments later, Belotti kicks first-intentionally with a sure shot, his conclusion is repelled by the goalkeeper; the first to get there is Belotti again, who kicks at the net first-intentionally, but once again catches the host number 1 in the face; fate leaves yet another chance to the Giallorossi number 18, but the shot is printed on the post before ending mockingly out. It is the clear sign of a cursed match. However, time is all on the Galaxy's side (despite Ome's repeated attempts to dilate the dead moments as much as possible). In the 38th minute Zammarchi rekindled the hopes of the Magica Armata by sealing the 2-3 goal after a perfect insertion again on an assist from Bergamaschi. The Galaxy pushed vehemently and in the 40th minute Magri had a chance to tie the score with another shot from the penalty spot for a foul on Bergamaschi. The captain's conclusion is not perfect and the visiting goalkeeper neutralizes. The backlash is heavy for the hosts, disheartened and especially nicked by a huge outlay of mental energy. Despite this, the graygreen game plan does not change: tactical fouls (clearly never sanctioned with disciplinary measures) and time wasting.

In the 45th minute comes the 2-4 goal after a wrong disengagement by Martinuz who in an attempt to verticalize on Magri delivers the ball directly to the opponent, cynical then to deposit in the net. Bertolini sends in Crea for Romeo to have more freshness in the build-up from the bottom, but the substance does not change. Another good opportunity is printed on the fourth woodwork of the evening before the atrocious mockery of the final 2-5.

A once-in-a-million game condemns the Galaxy to their second consecutive defeat. It is hard to recriminate anything to the Giallorossi, now awaiting another battle against PPZ, which after 17 days relinquishes the lead in the standings in favor of St. John's.

The playouts are only 6 lengths away: with five games left to play, the Galaxy are in dire need of scoring points as soon as possible to avoid getting entangled in a fight to stay in the Serie A.
