On the seventh day, the Galaxy are guests of Trenzano, in a challenge now iconic in provincial soccer. On the greens of the lowlands, the Giallorossi have emerged victorious in only one occasion, effectively making the Blaugrana their black beast. Mr. Valenza's and Mr. Bonetti's teams arrive at the match in opposite situations: the Magica Armata's three consecutive victories contrast with the barely 3 points won by the defending champions, in a real identity crisis.
Mr Valenza shows up in Trenzano without some key pawns such as Martinuz, Mazzetti M and Gazzoli, in addition to long-suffering Vitali and Gamba. In goal goes Belotti, defended by Romeo; Magri-Lamberti the central pair, Bertolini and Fioretti on the outside lanes and Bergamaschi the offensive terminal (at disp. Crea, Bregoli, Eddiraoui, Mazzetti A, Boccuti).
The start is fairly blocked, with the teams intent on studying each other and eager not to find out too much. The first real chance comes at the feet of Bergamaschi, served with a filter by Bertolini, but the goalkeeper's exit thwarts the possible conclusion. In the 14th, the game is unblocked and it is Trenzano who uncorks it with a conclusion from distance. The hosts' advantage lasted exactly the time to put the ball back in the middle because Bertolini brought his side back into the tie by making the most of Magri's deep pass to cut through the Blaugrana's defensive lines.
In the second half Trenzano seemed decidedly more aggressive and slowly began to consolidate its dominance. In the 21st Romeo let slip the visiting striker who alone in front of Belotti did not miss. A minute later Fioretti misses an intervention to push the ball away, actually favoring the opponent's conclusion that makes the partial 3-1. The Galaxy suffered and stayed in the game thanks to the saves of Belotti, who was monumental in two circumstances: first by deflecting a sure shot conclusion into a corner and shortly after thanks to a timely exit in a 1v1 situation. The referee thus put an end to the first half and Valenza decided to play the Eddiraoui card from the 1' in place of Fioretti.
The Giallorossi re-entered the field with a different attitude and after just two minutes found the goal of the momentary 3-2 thanks to a Bergamaschi stone from a free kick from the edge. Trenzano did not distort, but the Galaxy appeared more determined to try to find the way to goal. The momentum increased and Valenza opted to insert even more dynamism with Bregoli replacing an exhausted Bertolini. A handful of minutes later it is Bergamaschi again who scores thanks to a personal action. The match returns to a draw, but the inertia is all in favor of the guests. The biggest risk lies in uncovering themselves too much to seek the advantage and that is exactly what happens, but once again Belotti one-on-one with the opponent's attacker is decisive in coming out and closing the mirror.
With 300 seconds left Magri earns a free kick on the halfway line and takes charge of the shot. The conclusion is strong and mocking enough to deposit in the net. The Giallorossi remuntada seemed completed, but Trenzano never dies and after a good choral action found the 4-4 goal with a conclusion from outside on which Belotti did not arrive. There is still time to try to get the lead back and the Galaxy try with all their remaining energy. First Bergamaschi misses a good opportunity by shooting high from the edge of the small area the developments of a throw-in; a few seconds before the triple whistle Lamberti trashes a colossal opportunity created by Eddiraoui, trying to serve Bregoli instead of kicking on goal from a few steps.
Thus ends in a draw an entertaining and intense match, played on equal footing by two teams similar in spirit and motivation, albeit momentarily far apart in the standings. Saturday at the Long Street Park in Castegnato is expected to see the leader Boca Sampa.
