OUT -
After a period of apparent media calm, the Galaxy club is back to show signs of life, announcing the contract termination of Alessandro Pol and the outright sale of Alessandro Serra to Deportivo Fornaci.
Here are the two releases:
"The USO Galaxy company announces that it has terminated by mutual consent the contract with Alessandro Pol. The company would like to thank the player for the moments and emotions experienced together. We wish Alessandro good luck for the future!"
Pol, who arrived in the summer of 2019, leaves the Galaxy after only 19 appearances, 14 goals and 5 assists. Probably one of the biggest Giallorossi regrets for what could have been and was not.
---
"The USO Galaxy Company announces that it has reached an agreement with the Deportivo Fornaci Company for the permanent transfer of Alessandro Serra. After only one season our paths part, but for us it has been a privilege to be able to share a part of your journey together. Certain of mutual affection, we wish you the best of luck! Best of luck Ale!"
Serra ended his year with 19 appearances, 11 goals and 6 assists. After a complicated start due to repeated injuries, the class '94 outfielder showed his full value in the final part of the season, with convincing performances and a newfound confidence.
Classic ending for both: once a Galaxy, always a Galaxy.
IN -
The signings of Nicola Gazzoli and Michele Belotti have not yet been put in black and white (or rather, in yellow on red), but they have been finalized at the moment. For the former it would be a comeback after leading the team to the historic Provincials win with Bertolini in 2017 (as well as access to the Serie A) and having worn the number 13 jersey the following year. He would go to fill the little box left empty by Ravarini, a far from easy legacy, but the guy knows the environment and has broad shoulders.
For Belotti, this is a "historic" choice as he would be the first player to move from his cousins USO Castegnato to the Galaxy. An outside forward and central if necessary, the class of 2000 will guarantee experience, charisma and freshness, but above all stimulation and a great desire to prove his worth. For both of them we remain waiting for the officialdom.
Steps forward have also been made on the Lamberti front, former leader of the black-green rivals St. James, currently unemployed and courted by the Galaxy, fascinated by his quality and ductility. Developments are expected soon.
In the background remain Davide Bregoli (the track is still cold) and Gabriele Ongari, always at the center of Giallorossi desires. Officially vanished is Simone Cominelli, moved to Padernese.
FUTURE -
What is holding up the incoming market are corporate affairs. These are fiery days for the Giallorossi management, grappling with a stay at San Filippo Stadium that is increasingly in the balance after meetings with the board holding control of the USO. The USO fund (chaired by Don Duilio Lazzari and managed by an internal executive) would like to maintain control over the Magica Armata from which, year after year, a major economic effort has been demanded. The Galaxy, of course, are asking for more clarity and are again thinking about independence. In fact, let us recall that the USO Castegnato bought the majority of Galaxy shares so that the team could return to play its home games at San Filippo Stadium after the resounding year in San Antonio (2016-2017).
Envoys let it be known of an upcoming meeting soon between the parties to seek a mutually favorable solution. The scenarios are of course all possible and with possible sensational implications. The game is played solely on sporting and financial goals. Should the Galaxy succeed in finding investors ready to guarantee long-term economic stability, they would sit at the table in a strong position. The season is upon us, and never more than in this summer will timing make the difference between one choice and another.
