Final touches

In Castegnatello the season has been underway for a few days, the new Valenza-branded course has taken hold, but the club is still busy on other fronts.

Yesterday, with a farewell via social media, came the officialdom of Davide Bregoli's farewell. The Giallorossi ant made this decision after only one year since his return, but the number 11's professional life could no longer coincide with the Galaxy's commitments.

Thus ends an adventure that brought Djurd to 7th place in the list of appearances (74), but especially at the foot of the podium for the most goals scored (55; behind Magri, Eddiraoui and Bregoli F). In his palmares, the Scudetto and the Provincial title in 2017, Djurd's finest year. Numbers and more that certify him as a true icon of these colors.

On the arrivals front, however, here are new faces and old acquaintances. Michele Bertolini after resigning as coach has decided to don the yellow and red camiseta once again, for a return to the fields that has been missing since 2019. For Alessandro Mazzetti, too, one can speak of a "return," having made his debut as a canter against Trenzano in the 2021-22 season.

On the other hand, the new face is Matteo Lamberti, former captain of S. Giacomo who, after several attempts to land in the Giallorossi, has seen materialized in recent weeks the actual possibility of landing in the arms of the historical rivals. A versatile player who will be able to impose himself in multiple roles thanks to his good basic technique and vision of the game. A two-year deal is ready for him, but above all a Galaxyzation to cleanse the past.

There should be no more news in the staff, barring sensational negotiations in the last days, also because Mr. Valenza asked for a ready team to work with three weeks before the start of the championship.

We will have to wait a few more days for the new signings to become official, but the new Giallorossi cycle has already begun...
