It's back to running in the green fields of Castegnatello and, never before as in this January, the Galaxy are also running at the desk.

There's a lot of market work to be done for the Giallorossi, and there are several novelties.

Starting with the goodbyes, the least surprising is that of Mattia Vitali, the 2001-class goalkeeper who arrived at the Galaxy with the championship already underway to make up for Inverardi's injury. After the first day in which he had to leave due to a fractured nose, the goalkeeper of the last three seasons has not returned for official matches, leaving the helm for the entire first leg to Vitali who took the field, but above all the locker room, receiving the trust of staff and teammates. Thinking they would have to temporarily plug the hole left by Inverardi's injury, the Giallorossi management never posed the problem of accepting the clause Vitali himself wanted when he signed for a temporary transfer to Sweden in the winter session. Six months on loan, then, which will take the Giallorossi's new number one away from Italy until mid-June. The Galaxy's plan is to see him back for next season's summer training camp.

The Giallorossi are therefore grappling with a new goalkeeping problem, but one that has been brilliantly resolved thanks to a scouting network of the highest calibre in the provincial scene. It is news of a few hours ago that Edoardo Martinuz, goalkeeper class '95, was signed, unemployed, but with previous experience in Collebeato and Bovezzo. A real bargain considering the difficult moment to close market operations, especially for a delicate and sought-after role such as goalkeeper. After the usual medical examinations at the GalaxyLab the 'Dibu' (already nicknamed so due to the assonance with the World Champion goalkeeper - Martinez, ed.) has already signed a 6-month contract with option for another year and is ready to make his official debut against Muratello in a fortnight' time.

The other farewell, certainly not expected, has shocked the entire Giallorossi environment. It is Nicola Gazzoli, who decided to unilaterally terminate his contract after personal evaluations. At the basis of his choice a precarious physical condition accentuated by continuous muscle aches that have conditioned his performance, in addition to the difficulty of guaranteeing his presence by virtue of other non-Galaxy commitments. Thus ended a relationship that had been rekindled after three seasons, with 4 goals scored in 9 appearances.

Currently the Galaxy squad has three centre-forwards with different characteristics: instead of Gazzoli, Bertolini and Caracciolo would like to reward the work carried out so far by Boccuti and Davide Bregoli, used alternatively or concurrently with Bergamaschi, but they would not disdain a new player to make up for any shortcomings in other roles. It is precisely for this reason that the latest rumours are becoming more insistent about the purchase of Francesco Gamba. He has been stationary in the pits for years now, but in the past he made the defences of half the province tremble with his mighty physique and tenacity, which marked his career. Needless to say, his procurer is Matteo Valenza, who had already signed Bergamaschi and Mazzetti in the summer. Gamba would be a welcome acquisition for the club because of the zero cost of the card, as imposed by the Giallorossi's financial director Paquìto Bregoli, and he would receive the inheritance left vacant by Nicola Gazzoli. A six-month contract with an option for another year is also possibly ready for him.

Just a few more weeks and we will have the final verdict...
