The third and final day of Leonessa Cup Group G pits the two teams already qualified for the next phase against each other. After getting the better of Castelmella and Camignone, USO Galaxy and GSO Duomo play for first place in the group.
In the ranks of the Giallorossi weigh the absences of Zammarchi, Gamba and Davide Bregoli, as well as that of Mr. Bertolini. The technical direction of the match is therefore entrusted to Mr. Caracciolo, trusted right-hand man and pragmatic soccer connoisseur, cleansed of a past linked to drug addiction and gambling thanks to the #HumanGalaxy program.
The hosts lined up with Martinuz; Romeo; Gazzoli, Magri, Bregoli F, Belotti; Bergamaschi (a disp. Crea, Fioretti, Mazzetti).
After less than a lap of the whistle, the Galaxy already took the lead, thanks to Belotti's goal on Bergamaschi's service. The game immediately went downhill and the Magical Army demonstrated all its technical superiority. At 9' the result already speaks for itself: 4-0. Bergamaschi, Gazzoli and Francesco Bregoli score respectively for a game that seems already closed.
Duomo fails to find the right countermeasures to a more prepared team and in the second half of the first half the Galaxy score twice more, again with Belotti and Bregoli, bringing the score to 6-0 at halftime. Caracciolo took advantage of the result to start the pinwheel of changes, replacing Romeo, Magri and Belotti with Crea, Mazzetti and Fioretti.
The second fraction was nothing but the perfect management of the match by the hosts, who were good at sleeping the match at will, accomplice however to an opponent never in the game.
In the 37th minute Bergamaschi found his personal double, before one of the few guest treble leading to the goal of the momentary 7-1. Belotti allows Gazzoli to rest, returning to the field in the 39th minute. Putting the final seal is, again, Bergamaschi five minutes from the triple whistle.
A match without history gives the Galaxy access to the knockout stage as first in the group, pending the draw to be held soon.
The other, historic, piece of news is Bergamaschi's 33 seasonal centers: with today's hat-trick, the Giallorossi center forward surpasses Magri (stuck at 30) as the top scorer in a single season. That record had stood since the Giallorossi's founding year (2016/17 season). Congratulations!
