USO GALAXY 4-2 Real S.Rocco

Called upon to respond after the Polaveno defeat, Mr. Valenza's boys host Real S.Rocco, fresh from a narrow victory on their debut against Pilzone.

Unavailability among the ranks of the Giallorossi could form an entire team, consisting of Vitali, Bregoli, Fioretti, Gazzoli, Eddiraoui, Bergamaschi and Gamba. Compared to the first day, Valenza opts for some adjustments, choosing Martinuz; Romeo; Magri, Mazzetti M, Bertolini, Belotti; Boccuti (a disp. Crea, Mazzetti A, Lamberti).

There is great motivation in the air, but above all the pressure of having to win to tidy up the standings and thus give momentum to the championship. Emotion plays nasty tricks and in fact the start is one to forget, with the guests already ahead after not even a lap of the clock: the match director judges as correct an uncomfortable intervention on Mazzetti in midfield, Real's restart is untameable and it is 0-1.

The cold shower allows the Galaxy to regroup, and slowly the hosts' intentions align with the actions on the field. Real's gray-greens do not flinch and wait diligently in their own half, leaving their center forward isolated in a 1v1 with Romeo. In the 11th, Mazzetti and Boccuti are adept at penetrating the opponent's defense with a lethal one-two which allows Mazzetti to find himself face-to-face with the extreme defender and seal the 1-1. The game remains in the hands of the Giallorossi, who have a good opportunity with Bertolini again on Boccuti's bank, but the number 17 kicks high. The Giallorossi's pressure is there but it is timid, seeming to actually lack conviction. In minute 24 Romeo messes up, giving the ball away to the striker who undisturbed runs towards Martinuz and does not forgive. It goes to rest on 1-2.

Valenza makes no substitutions, but calls for a change in mentality and determination. Immediately satisfied because Magri in the 26th puts the match back on even terms, once again on an assist from a very inspired Boccuti: the Giallorossi's Pipita goes off-center to the right, skips over the direct opponent with his classic play and offers in the middle for the Captain's cutback who from two steps cannot miss. As the minutes passed, the Galaxy melted away the tension and regained their old confidence. In the 35th minute Boccuti, exhausted, leaves the field to Lamberti. The Galaxy lose the buoy in front, but gain in dynamism. The new No. 10 takes little time to get into the game, serving the kissing assist for Magri's header in the 37th minute directly from a corner kick. For the first time this season, the Galaxy are ahead in scoring. Real seemed to lack the strength and means to fight back, especially as the Giallorossi kept the accelerator pressed. In the 43rd minute, a good ball exit from the defense allows Belotti and Lamberti to package the goal of the final 4-2: the Giallorossi outfielder is great at serving the number 10 and then launching himself into space, finding himself in a perfect position to finish on net.

Valenza did not want to take any more risks and decided to cover up with Crea in place of Bertolini and Mazzetti A. for Mazzetti M.. The choice pays off because the match does not give any more noteworthy events, resetting any possible reactions of guest pride.

For what was seen on the field, the Galaxy amply deserved the victory, daughter of a second half interpreted with the right attention and without ever losing their bearings. There are definitely situations to improve, but the road taken is the right one.... Next appointment to Tuesday 10/10 for the galactic challenge to the friends of Villa Galaxy in that of Concesio, still stuck at zero points.
