After the good win in Sarezzo against Realvalle GSTL, the Galaxy in search of certainty, in the recovery of the 6th day, find in front of them Pol.Com.Ome, an experienced team already faced last year.
Bertolini can count on Belotti's return to the squad, but loses Zammarchi and Fioretti at once. With Simone Gazzoli still missing and Mazzetti forced to the pits due to a sprain, the starting 7 of the Giallorossi is practically obligatory: Vitali; Romeo; Eddiraoui, Magri, Bregoli F., Bergamaschi; Gazzoli N. (a disp. Crea, Belotti, Bregoli D., Boccuti).
The intent is clear for the Magica Armata: start strong to take the lead and then intelligently manage the match. Armed with absolute technical supremacy on the flanks, the Giallorossi undoubtedly start better and Eddiraoui begins to ring the alarm bell for the gray-green defense.
The hosts relied solely on long throws to their striker, who was good at protecting the ball but never dangerous. Midway through the half, the Galaxy had their first good chance with Bergamaschi, but the No. 2 ended a beautiful choral action over the crossbar. Shortly after, it was Nicola Gazzoli who came close to taking the lead, but the home goalkeeper overcame himself and deflected a ball destined to go in at the far post into the corner.
The Galaxy were slow in maneuvering and often inaccurate in the last pass, but certainly more deserving than the hosts. The result was an ugly and unadventurous game in which Pol.Com.Ome hoped to find itself.
With time (literally) running out, the hosts even took the lead at the first real opportunity, thanks to an obscene refereeing decision.
The Giallorossi became nervous and it was the prelude to the impending rout. Bertolini sends Boccuti and Davide Bregoli to warm up. Eddiraoui is the most nervous, but the coach gives him another chance. Huge chance because in the 3' of the second half, the match director concedes (for compensation) a penalty to the Galaxy. The person in charge is the number 7 himself, but his conclusion is intercepted by the extreme defender.
A minute later comes the doubling of the hosts and the game becomes complicated. Bertolini from the bench chooses Boccuti in place of Nicola Gazzoli.
Five minutes later came the tic-tac-toe, still heavily affected by an unforgivable error by the referee. The Galaxy lose control and are punished again a minute later. Bergamaschi is the only one who does not wane, taking the Giallorossi on his shoulders and sounding the charge with the 4-1 goal that, in relation to the time to play, rekindles hopes. In the 40th minute Davide Bregoli takes over for an impalpable Eddiraoui. Four minutes later Magri got the crowd warmed up as he scored his 12th goal of the season, ensuring the Giallorossi a storming finish. Not of this opinion, however, is the referee, who two minutes later expels Romeo for protests after a hand foul whistled bordering on the absurd. Bertolini sacrifices Francesco Bregoli and chooses to give the last minutes to Belotti, letting him taste the field again after his month-long stop.
In a fortunate manner, the goal of the final 5-2 arrived in the 47th minute with Vitali, who self-missed by touching the ball bounced off the post with his back. There is no more time nor energy to recover, and the game ends without any further gasps.
The Galaxy's nine outings have already brought four defeats, too many to think of a top championship. Wins still stand at three, and this is enough to understand the delicate moment the Magic Army is facing. The next step to take is certainly to compact in order to regain the pride and enthusiasm of the beginning of the season, trying to collect maximum points between now and the break to avoid finding themselves entangled in the dangerous salvation struggle.
