With the defeat in the Leonessa Cup, another season at Castegnatello comes to an end, the longest of the Galaxy era.

In the summer window of the transfer market Davide Bregoli had announced his retirement, giving up his number 11 jersey to Serra, and on the last available day Simone Gazzoli was announced, a return after a two-year absence.

The start in Serie A was immediately uphill, with two defeats in the first two days at the hands of Giaffa Clusane and Monticelli, but slowly the Galaxy took shape and began to rack up successes. Four consecutive victories over Trenzano, Prati Verdi, Ome and Boca Sampa relaunched the Giallorossi in the standings and got the fans dreaming. Something jammed up, however, and over the next four days the Magica Armata picked up only 2 points, pulling away from the top spot.

The victory with Emporio restored some serenity to the Giallorossi, but the winter period coincided with another abrupt setback by drawing a stradominated game with Monticelli and losing the direct clash with Ome after the break.

The Galaxy, at their most difficult moment, reared their heads and regained their pride, picking up 14 points in 6 days. The Provinciali goal fades to the credit of an Ome that maintains the Galaxy's point average. The Championship ends in 4th place: 35 points scored in 22 games, dragged by an extraordinary Ravarini, author of 29 goals.

The Leonessa Cup debut is against EdilTre in a hellish round with Monticelli and Pilzone. The Galaxy get off to a good start, securing mathematical first place after two games having defeated EdilTre (2-1) and Monticelli (3-0). The match with Pilzone is won on penalty kicks after a 2-2 draw in regulation.

Fate once again put Trenzano in front of the Giallorossi, but this time the early-season masterpiece failed and the Galaxy dropped out of the competition in general disappointment.

Judging such a long year by taking into consideration only the last result risks clouding any assessment. The roster is one of the youngest at the provincial level and, normally, suffers from inexperience in handling some crucial moments during the season. Qualitatively, the Galaxy proved to be on a par with the top of the class, but the difference was mainly seen in the continuity of results: the real Achilles' heel of the Giallorossi. The many ups and downs affected the championship. The first part did not live up to the enormous expectations revolving around the team, with the best version of the Giallorossi at the technical level, but still far from a team cohesion useful to win in the long run. After the break, however, the work began to pay off, showing everyone the light of the Giallorossi, less flashy but definitely more united. There remains bitterness in the mouth for the way it ended, but this season must be the starting point for the great future we all hope for.

The Galaxy this season have alternated between moments of absolute light and brilliance and others of darkness and deep despondency. Like stars in the sky.
